Destination wedding photography is something I am lucky enough to have experienced in my career. Not only does it involve the job that I love, but also one of my other great loves, travel. I am very fortunate to have been able to photograph many weddings in all four corners of the UK, but also much further afield, into Europe.
To date, I have covered destination weddings as far away as Mexico, Cyprus, Rome, Venice, Lake Garda, France, and closer to home, Dublin and Cork in Ireland, to mention a few.
Over the many years I have been a professional photographer, I have had many wedding couples who have been married abroad, tell me of their disappointment at the standard and quality of photographers supplied by hotels and venues. It is always a worry when newly married couples come home from your wedding abroad and the resort photographer maybe on the other side of the world !! If something goes wrong with your images, how are you going to resolve the issues?
I regularly have people ring me to ask if I can make the images they have received any better, or design a wedding album from the images they have had taken by resort photographers, only to find the standard very bad indeed. Normally a resort or venue abroad, arrange the minister, flowers, photographer, and cake etc, without you having any, or much say in the matter. With this in mind, I decided to focus on destination weddings abroad, as well as this country.
I have experience travelling and packing my photographic equipment within the airlines tight rules and regulations, so there is no need to worry there. I have actually purchased a camera case that meets the size criteria needed to carry my equipment as hand luggage, on board aircraft, again, so you do not need to worry about my equipment going missing, or getting lost on route to your destination wedding. My passport is always kept up to date also.
For your own piece of mind, not only do I always ask the hotel to keep the camera digital storage cards from the wedding day, in their own personal safe, but I also have them backed up on a portable hard drive in my own room safe, and they are also saved off site, on an online server.
Please contact me if you would like to chat more about your plans and ideas for your destination wedding day. You can contact me via email, telephone, or I can even arrange a Skype call if you prefer. You may be surprised how little the costs involved actually are !! I am available to cover your big day, whether you are being married in the UK, Europe, or even further afield.
If your looking for a National award winning destination wedding photographer to cover one of , if not the most important day of your life, then look no further. I look forward to hearing from you.
